Cenergist Delivers Phase 1 of Ground Source Heat Pump System for Leeds City Council
Cenergist has announced that it has been appointed by Leeds City Council to install a Ground Source Heat Pump shoebox system at The Heights East & West, Leeds. Following a comprehensive technology agnostic review of renewable heating options, Cenergist will replace inefficient electric storage heaters with efficient central heating across 120 homes.
Each home will have a heat pump that draws geothermal energy through a closed loop shared borehole array. Residents will have all the benefits of central heating, as well as freedom to choose their energy supplier. The heat pumps compress the energy from the ground and will deliver substantial energy savings for residents. The systems are also 100% renewable at the point of heat generation and will contribute significantly to Leeds City Council’s ambitious Net Zero Targets.
