Cenergist Appointed by Leeds City Council to Install Commercial Air Source Heat Pumps and Flow Regulation Devices to 31 Public Buildings
Cenergist has announced that it has been appointed by Leeds City Council to provide support on the council’s development of multiple applications for heat decarbonisation projects.
The project will deliver heat decarbonisation, complementary energy efficiency and control measures to 31 buildings, including leisure centres, homes for older people, schools, and civic buildings.
In line with Leeds City Council’s objectives, Cenergist will reduce carbon emissions without negatively impacting running costs by designing hybrid Air Source Heat Pump and Gas systems. The entire project will achieve lifetime carbon savings of 33,690 tonnes – a 53-73% reduction across all sites.
Central to this will be the installation of Cenergist’s Control Flow technology to all hot water fittings. This rationalises and reduces the costs and size of the infrastructure. The fittings will also ensure greater levels of carbon savings per site. The projects will commence in Summer 2021 and will be completed by April 2022.
